You know, before you even start reading the bios below, that you probably want to buy tickets to see Puppets in the Hands of a Malevolent God. You can do so here:
Rachel Hillis(The Foreigner ; Elizabeth Huxley) Anyone who knows RACHEL HILLIS (The Foreigner; Elizabeth Huxley) knows that she loves all things horror, so it's only natural that she chose this production as her second show with Post Productions! Recently, you may have seen her descent into madness as Renfield in Dracula (The Bank Theatre), and her other notable onstage credits include Hangmen (Post Productions), Clue (Korda Artistic Productions), and Waitress (Windsor Light Music Theatre). Technically that last one was below-stage in the pit chorus but who's judging? She’s also worked offstage in such productions as Spring Awakening, Something Rotten, and The Drowsy Chaperone (all with Korda Artistic Productions). Additionally, Rachel has been a contestant in The Edele Winnie Women’s Monologue Competition for the past three years. When not performing, Rachel can be found working at the public library, reading a good book, or playing with her cats. Archer Bennett(The Cripple ; Claire Pascal) ARCHER BENNETT (The Cripple; Claire Pascal) is ecstatic to debut on the Shadowbox stage. Puppets in the Hands of Malevolent God has been a challenge like no other for this seasoned performer. Past roles include Queen Hecuba in Trojan Women (Walkerville Collegiate Institute), Valerie Clark in A Chorus Line (Arts Collective Theatre), and Lord Fancourt Babberly "Babbs" in Charlie’s Aunt (Paulin Memorial Players) – each of which had Archer on stage from lights up to lights down, and each play offered new elements to explore. Each of these challenges – whether crowned in a lavish mask, singing and dancing, or done up in drag – have allowed Archer to further hone their craft. However, no production has presented them with two roles to play in one show. . . until now. Archer would like to thank Michael and Fay for welcoming them both on and backstage. Being able to work on each element of this production has been an honor and a treat. They would also like to thank the cast for the dedication and warmth that they brought to each rehearsal. Finally, Archer would like to thank you, the audience, for coming to see this work of art brought to life. And now, without further ado, please sit back, secure your poncho, and enjoy the show. Chantel ParÉ(Lucy Crowe ; Penelope Erasmus) CHANTEL PARÉ (Lucy Crowe; Penelope Erasmus) is ecstatic to play two challenging roles in Puppets in the Hands of a Malevolent God! Chantel is a 21-year-old drama student at the University of Windsor. She has worked as an actor on the Shadowbox stage several times in the past, performing in plays such as Bite me, Big Time! (Post Productions / Pickle Jam Collective), Pirate Attack on the 1C Bus Going Downtown (Post Productions), Wicked Women of Windsor (A Warped Mind Productions), and in The Edele Winnie Women's Monologue Competition every year since 2022. Chantel is a lover of all things horror, and especially a fan of the psychological and thriller genres. Courtesy Olympia |
