February 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29; March 1 & 2, 2024 @ 8:00 pm @ The Shadowbox Theatre
An unforgettable experience that will live in your soul forever – two theatrical masterpieces for the price of one!

4.48 PSYCHOSIS, the controversial theatrical masterpiece by singularly brilliant playwright Sarah Kane (Blasted), tells the story of an unnamed patient who has decided to finally end her life at 4:48 am after a lifetime of confusion, sorrow, disembodiment, anger, and grief. As you experience her life, you’ll find yourself not only wondering whether she will follow through on her plans, but more importantly you’ll find the barriers between her life and yours disintegrating through empathy. This visceral, harrowing, dreamlike, unsettling, and unforgettable poem of a play has been praised by critics around the world – and Post Productions is bringing it to Windsor-Essex for the first time!

A profound play in its own right – THE EVENT by John Clancy (Fatboy) – opens this double-bill and prepares audiences for everything that they’re about to carry with them out of the theatre in their thoughts, hearts, and souls. A man stands on stage in a pool of light and attempts the ultimate magic trick: disappearing while remaining in full sight as he wittily vivisects what is happening at that very moment in that very room with that exact group of strangers in the audience. By the time The Event is over the man has become all of us, and all of us have become the man – in the process learning more about ourselves and the universe than should be possible in 45-minutes. This award-winning and internationally acclaimed play has been described by critics as “Thrilling, mind-expanding and 100 percent engaging”, “So lethally accurate and funny, it’s difficult to resist”, and “As complex and stimulating as it is pleasurable”.
