About Post Productions
Post Productions provides intimately-staged entertaining theatrical experiences that arouse the heart and fuel the mind, drawing patrons into lives quite unlike their own to help them understand the world, other people, and themselves with fresh insight. As a unique brand of theatre, Post Productions complements the Windsor-Essex scene by staging provocative productions for audiences that want more for their dollar – audiences looking for experiences rather than distractions, who need to be challenged and provoked, who want to think and feel and learn and take in the full spectrum of human possibility.
The Post Productions Statement of Principles
Post Productions commits to:
1. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for casts, crews, guests, audiences, and potential collaborators by treating all persons with dignity, compassion, and respect
2. Strive to push ourselves to improve and grow with each performance of each production
3. Focus on character, story, and theme over all other aspects of theatre – prioritizing substance over spectacle
4. Use theatre to challenge conventions, habits and assumptions by staging productions that leave audiences compelled to think, feel, discuss, and create long after they return home
5. Collaborate with other artists in Windsor-Essex to mutual benefit whenever possible
6. Promote collegiality and pro-sociality by working with each other, rather than over, under, or against each other
7. Conduct all business affairs with honesty and integrity
8. Provide encouraging, supportive, and productive opportunities for established and emerging talent to learn, develop, grow, and achieve artistic success
9. Contribute to a vibrant, thriving and diverse Windsor-Essex theatre industry by supporting, patronizing, and encouraging other companies and independent artists
10. Hire only the best artistic and technical talent available.
