Meet the Cast of Pirate Attack on the 1C Bus Going Downtown

Emma Truswell as Kelly

Emma Truswell (Kelly) revived her love of performing in 2018 as Lady MacBeth in Korda Artistic Productions’ MacBeth, and again in 2019 as Vicki/Brooke in The Bank Theatre’s Noises Off. In 2022 she’s had the pleasure of appearing in two Post Productions shows - first as Jackie in Squirrel Party, now as Kelly in Pirate Attack on the 1C Bus Going Downtown. She swears she’s only occasionally as cringey as Kelly, but is undoubtedly as awkward.  Emma spends her spare time riding horses, doing Muay Thai, and hanging out with her two chihuahuas watching an alarming amount of episodes of Ghost Adventures and America’s Test Kitchen. 

Shannyn Mcrae as Claire

Shannyn Mcrae (Claire) is a lover of all things theatre, and pretty much 90% of everything else the world has to offer; aside from tomatoes. Acting along with singing are major parts of her life, with roles such as Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde (Lakeshore Academy Of Fine Arts)  and to now be involved in a production portraying characters with disabilities not just for their disabilities is like a dream, as neurodivergence specifically is one of the many things she specializes in, being a part of the community herself. 

Justin Mulder as Ollie

Justin Mulder (Ollie) is a  local actor who loves watching how movies are made. You would have seen him in shows such as Shhhh from Revolution Youth Theatre. This is his first show with Post Productions, and he has enjoyed working with his talented cast mates, as well as the directors. He can’t wait for everyone to see the cast and crew put together a wonderful message through theatre.

Chantel Pare as Aggie

Chantel Pare (Aggie) is excited to bring the curious character of Aggie to life at the Shadowbox Theatre! Chantel has been involved in the Windsor theatre community since 2018, starting as Ensemble and the puppet, "Wacky", in Cardinal Music Productions' summer productions of Annie. She was most recently in Post Productions and Purple Theatre Company's co-production; Bite Me, Big Time!, as a far louder character named "Jenny" from "Squirrel Girl". Chantel is especially a fan of cartoons and animated movies, and greatly appreciates all media surrounding the horror genre on top of that.

Michael K. Potter as Shawn

Michael K. Potter (Shawn) is the co-owner of The Shadowbox Theatre and Managing Director of Post Productions, where he also produces and directs plays (The Pillowman, Equus, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Stop Kiss, Fatboy, True West). Michael still finds time to act occasionally - most recently as Ian in Blasted, Rolly in Criminal Genius, Singleton Kastamangas in Negatunity, Cradeau in No Exit, Willie in Another Fucking Christmas Play: A Fucking Musical, Reinhart in Shelter in Place, Wesley in The Worst Thing I Ever Did, John in Oleanna, and The Enforcer in season 3 of the Space/SyFy's T.V. series Killjoys. During the day he is a Teaching and Learning Specialist at the University of Windsor. He has been excited about bringing Pirate Attack on the 1C Bus Going Downtown to the stage ever since he read the first draft, and he can’t imagine a better cast and crew to pull it off.

Michelle Mainwairing as Mother, Reporter, Mayor, Bus Passenger, Police Officer 

Michelle Mainwairing (Mother, Reporter, Mayor, Bus Passenger, Police Officer) is an award winning actor who has been performing professionally for over 35 years with stage, film and radio credits to her name. She has been starring in the 'Rum Runner's Tour'  for over 14 years with four awards of excellence to their credit and the only local company to be in Trip Advisor's Hall of Fame. Throughout the year Michelle also performs private and corporate comedy dinner theatres and is the co-host of the annual Men's Celebrity Fashion Event for the Kidney Foundation.

Joey Ouellette as Police Officer, News Reader, Bus Driver, Lawyer

Joey Ouellette (Police Officer, News Reader, Bus Driver, Lawyer) Keep Moving. Learn new things. Think in new ways. Find new paths. The old paths work well but they only bring us to places we already know. When you fall again get up and keep going in the same direction. You can go home later. Keep moving or you will find yourself stuck in that perfect hell that you made when you weren't paying attention.
