THE CHILDREN by Lucy Kirkwood marks Post Productions' first play to feature TWO CASTS -- each offering a unique, charming, authentic, and engaging interpretation of the script -- featuring Mary Grace Weir (Rose) as the consistent anchor in both. If you pay full price ($25) to see one of the casts, you can come see the other cast for a $10 rebate ($15 ticket)!CC Promotional photography by Anthony Sheardown Photography. Mary Grace Weir as RoseAfter a three decade hiatus, Mary Grace Weir (Rose) returned to acting a few years ago: The Fantasticks (Korda Artistic Productions); Three Tall Women (Post Productions); The Rinsing Witch, (Purple Theatre Company). She is thrilled to be part of this production and its unique rehearsal process. Her castmates’ widely differing interpretations of Robin and Hazel helped her to explore more aspects of the ambiguous character of Rose than a single cast would have allowed, and she is grateful for that opportunity. She is curious whether audiences will admire or despise Rose and the choices she feels compelled to make. Mary Grace says: “This is for my mom, who is one of the people who hold up the world, and for my daughters, who will inherit it.” CAST ONE (Feb. 3, 9, 11 & 17)Linda Collard as HazelIn real life, Linda Collard (Hazel) is married to one of the "Robin"s. Guess which one? She has performed in all but one of these places: Windsor, Leamington, Chatham, Petrolia, Toronto, and Yorkshire. Guess which one? You can see her next in one of the following shows: General Hospital, Great Big New Hospital, or Incredible Hospital. Guess which one? She feels very fortunate to be a part of this production and is thrilled to be playing the part of Hazel. Mitch Snaden as RobinThis is Mitch Snaden’s (Robin) second production with Post Productions and he is very excited to be a part of this show. Mitch has also appeared in Windsor Light Music Theatre’s Mama Mia as Bill. He had the privilege of doing a one man show with Sho Theatre in Marty Gervais’ autobiographical piece May The Good Lord Take a Liking to You. Mitch knows that without the loving support of his very talented and beautiful wife he would not be here tonight. As a bagpipe player he is available for weddings, bar mitzvas, and funerals – or any special occasion. CAST Two (Feb. 4, 10, 16 & 18)Cheri Scratch as HazelCheri Scratch (Hazel) is ecstatic to make her return to the stage in her debut performance with Post Productions and this amazing cast and crew. You may have seen her previously as Hagatha and various other characters in Korda Artistic Productions’ Holiday Pantos, or in the Viewer’s Choice Short Film Award Winner Cacophony of Lies at WIFF 2022, or most prominently, alongside Joey Ouellette with the Purple Theatre Company. She’d like to thank Fay Lynn and Michael K. Potter for this absolutely marvelous opportunity and those closest to her for their unwavering love, support and tolerance. “If he offers you the parsnip, it means he wants to get you drunk.” Enjoy the show! Joey Ouellette as RobinJoey Ouellette (Robin) has performed in hundreds of plays. He's a passionate environmentalist. He is also a playwright whose plays have been produced all over North America. His best play, Mirabella, winner of the 2022 Windsor-Essex Playwriting contest, will be produced at The Shadowbox Theatre in June 2023.
